What do you think about the fact of buying a lovebird rather than two?
Do you think the lovebird can live happy beside at the owner such as near to another lovebird?

I think that depends on the bird. I mean, if the bird was handraised and bonds better with people and is happy with people, then I think it is fine to be a single bird so long as it has several hours of bonding time.

However, a bird that clearly does not like people or is untame and not able to be tamed, another lovebird is the best option.

The best balance is the ones who are a bird but enjoy a human's company... Like our Munch. Does not want to be held, touched or anything unless it's on his terms, but he does like us and enjoys us around. Yet he knows he is a bird and is perfectly happy. He has his brother for a companion when he wants, but he does not like to share his cage space with Mango or anyone really. Mango will get a mate one day to bond with as he will be happier with a constant feathered companion

What I think ....
Keeping them in cages confine their habits and suppress their instincts, it is right that they are not alone in a cage, keep them with their own kind when we are away from home or engaged in our daily lives can only be positive for them.

Neppure solo 12 Crying or Very sad

In my experience, I have to admit that the hand-fed birds can live very well with their owner;
the important thing is to spend too much time with them.

as far the parents-fed birds it is different; I agree with Casey even if Iris and Alby say right things because it's daily very difficult to provide at our birds the same quantity of time.
Thus a mate can replace our presence also for the hand-fed birds.
